After a long, national
and international gastronomic career, during which he has been honoured
with the highest distinctions in the profession and cited by many
gastronomic guides, Pierre Paumel completed his exceptional walk
of life by once again finding his Provençal roots.
He opened La Sommellerie (3 stars) in Châteauneuf-du-Pape,
a veritable embassy of that wine appellation, where for 12 years
he has conquered tastebuds from the world over.
After all those years of intense and stressful
work, he has decided to quit the traditional restaurant business
and create a unique concept, that of receiving you in his own home,
this magnificent and authentic manor, that he has been running for
